Seven Realms of Attar is a landmark theatrical spectacle by NIYAZ, the pioneering electro-acoustic music collective founded by Azam Ali and Loga Ramin Torkian, redefining tradition through innovation. Created in collaboration with interactive visual artist Theron Pray and choreographer and Tim e Lapse Dance Artistic Director Jody Sperling, and inspired by the sublime poetry of Attar's 12th-century masterpiece Conference of the Birds, the work brings together live music, poetry, dance, visual art, animation, and 3D projection mapping to transform the stage into a living, evolving cosmos.
Created in response to a world increasingly shaped by conflict, displacement, and division, Seven Realms of Attar is an invitation into a shared space of reflection and wonder, a poetic affirmation of our common humanity and our enduring longing for unity, freedom, and spiritual awakening.
This performance is special benefit event for a girls’ school in Minab, presented by Moms Against Poverty in collaboration with Niyaz.
On January 23, 2027, Moms Against Poverty and Niyaz come together at A.C.T.'s Toni Rembe Theater in San Francisco for a special performance of Seven Realms of Attar, where art becomes an act of hope. Through the universal language of art, this landmark spectacle-inspired by the 12th-century Persian masterpiece The Conference of the Birds-welcomes audiences to gather not simply as spectators, but as a community bound by our shared humanity, in support of Moms Against Poverty’s efforts to build a girls’ school in Minab, Hormozgan Province, Iran.
We hope you will join us in celebrating the truth that our compassion knows no borders and that, through art, we can transform the shared experience of this evening into something lasting: a school where a new generation of girls can learn, pursue their dreams of continued education, and take steps toward a solid future.
