Expanding the Kinosphere à La Loïe Fuller

Loïe Fuller (1862-1928), one of the "mothers" of modern dance, performed in enormous silk that allowed her to expand and abstract movement to suggest elemental and organic forces. In this experiential workshop, participants play with inhabiting a larger-than-life kinesphere to sense a permeable relationship to the world around them. The workshop will encourage participants to imagine an embodied space-time connection with Loïe's fin de siècle. Bring a pillowcase!
