Plastic Harvest & Arbor at the Amsterdam ADDITION

  • NYCHA/Amsterdam Additions West 64th Street between W End & Amsterdam Aves (map)

UPDATE: THE CURRENT AIR QUALITY FORECAST FOR SATURDAY IS GOOD AND WE ANTICIPATE THE PERFORMANCE HAPPENING AS SCHEDULED AT 2PM. WE WILL KEEP EVALUATING THE SITUATION TO MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE FOR THE PERFORMERS AND AUDIENCE. PLEASE RSVP AT LINK BELOW TO RECEIVE UPDATES IF THERE ARE ANY CHANGES.

In partnership with the New York Society for Ethical Culture and the Social Services Board, Jody Sperling and her Time Lapse Dance ensemble take root on the campus of NYCHA's Amsterdam Addition with a captivating site-specific performance that is FREE and open to the public.

Enjoy Plastic Harvest, a romp about plastic pollution that provokes contemplation about the beauty of that—and who—our society throws away. Then stay for Arbor, the company's new work exploring human kinship with trees.

All ages welcome!

Dancers: Frances Barker, Anika Hunter, Maki Kitahara, Nicole Lemelin, Sarah Tracy & Rathi Varma

This program is supported, in part, by an eco-artist residency with the New York Society for Ethical Culture and with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
