Time Lapse Dance
Founded by Jody Sperling in 2000, Time Lapse Dance is a modern dance company based in NYC that presents visual-kinetic theater fusing experimental dance, circus arts and mesmerizing fabric-and-light spectacles. Dances re-imagining the swirling, sculptural style of Loie Fuller form a core of the repertory. Other works draw on genres including aerial dance, hula-hooping, stilt-walking, partner-acrobatics, vaudeville and more.

The year 2012 marks the 150th anniversary of Loie Fuller's birth. In tribute, Time Lapse Dance will present a Loie Fuller Celebration Season at Joyce SoHo, May 10-13, 2012. We are thrilled to announce that the Celebration program has been awarded funding from New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs.
In June 2011, TLD presented a successful sold-out studio season at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, featuring the premiere of Turbulence.
